About this Tier list · FAQ

Data source

Ranked match data for Wild Rift (WR) is pulled daily from Tencent's official API on the Chinese server. Win rate, pick rate, and ban rate are aggregated per bracket (Diamond+ / Master+ / Grandmaster / Challenger) and per lane. The CN WR server has an order of magnitude more ranked matches than English or Korean regions, which is why stats here are statistically more stable.

How tiers are calculated (PBI)

JGG-Tier is based on each champion's PBI (Pick-Ban-adjusted Impact):

PBI = (WR − bracket avg WR) × 100 × Pick Rate ÷ (100 − Ban Rate)

The "bracket average WR" is the mean win rate of champions with ≥0.5% pick rate in that bracket × lane. PBI combines three signals: relative strength vs. the environment, pick rate (how much a champion shapes the meta), and a ban-rate correction (credit for champions too strong to leave open). We then convert PBI to a z-score and assign: top 5% → S+, top 25% → S, top 50% → A, bottom 50% → B / C.

Why tiers differ between brackets

Diamond+ and Challenger players have very different champion mastery, team coordination, and mechanical execution. The same champion can post very different win/pick/ban rates across brackets, so its tier moves too. The most "real" meta for you is whichever bracket tab matches where you actually play.

JGG-Tier vs. CN-Tier

CN-Tier is Tencent's internal strength indicator; the exact formula isn't published. JGG-Tier is computed independently using the PBI method above, so the two can disagree.
